# Understanding Your Dog's Behavior

- Walked in from work and pet your dog before altering your clothes?
- Pet your dog just because he approached you and nudged his head near your hand?
- Comforted your canine while he was barking?
- Comforted your dog while he was fearful?
- Given your canine affection, treats or meals with no command?

The list of possible missteps is endless. If any of the above situations have occurred, they usually probably have, which is why you are reading this ebook; then you aren’t in charge all of the time.

They’re independent and sometimes territorial; however, they are loyal to household and people who earn their respect.

## Temperament:
Shibas are always ready for adventure, so they play nicely with children, but they do need firm training and may be vocal.

## Exercise Level:
Shiba Inus do best when they can play both indoors and outdoors regularly.

## Grooming Needs:
LOW to Moderate. Shibas have a double coat and need brushing about twice per week to help reduce shedding.

The second ingredient is ground peas, which are very beneficial to dogs. The peas contribute plenty of fiber, protein, and other micronutrients to a dog’s diet. Vegetable glycerin follows as the third in the list. It’s there to prevent mold from rising and to act as a binder. You can also find chickpea flour, tapioca starch, and ground flaxseed. Chickpeas add a boost of fiber and protein to any diet.

## Welcoming a Puppy
Welcoming a puppy into your house is a superb experience, but any pet parent will know that it may be hard work too. The first few months of having a pet should not just be playtime and cuddles—responsible owners will take this time to patiently train their puppies, including housebreaking. Potty training will never be the easiest process to undergo—even dogs that adapt easily to housebreaking will still need to be trained with care. The difficulty of housebreaking a puppy depends on many factors, and breed can definitely play into how well a dog responds to potty training, as some breeds are more obedient than others. Size is often a predictor; for instance, smaller breeds have smaller bladders and higher metabolisms and require more frequent trips outside.

## Digestive Health for Dogs
No more uncomfortable blockages or anal gland discomfort, just a smooth-sailing digestive tract for your furry buddy. If a simple digestive system were a ship to sail, anal gland supplements would be the perfect comfort provider. With these supplements, you may help alleviate your dog’s symptoms of pain and discomfort. Feed them in their diet or in the form of dog chews. They will work both ways.

## Dog Beds
There are similar style dog bed pillows available without memory foam, such as the Dog Doza, Waterproof Cushion, which is ideal to use in crates, kennels, outside runs or just for snoozing on the patio. For large breeds or a pooch that tends to sleep stretched out on its side, a mattress or pillow bed cushion is probably the best choice. There are many designs to choose from to complement all home decors. Some have memory foam crumbles to provide optimal sleep support, or perhaps a nice soft sherpa fleece dog pillow to snuggle into at the end of a busy day chasing a ball. Sherpa fleece or more traditional design pillows are also available to use in plastic beds, which are great for dogs that chew up fluffy beds.
